Affiliate Disclosure

The short version: when you buy something through a link in one of our reviews, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it never changes which product we pick or what we say about it.

Amazon Associates

Most, though not all, of the affiliate links on this site go to Amazon.

WorkoutHealthy.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

When you click an Amazon link on this site and buy something, Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale. You pay the same price you would have paid going to Amazon directly.

Other affiliate partners

Not every link is an Amazon link. We sometimes link to other retailers or to a manufacturer's own store when that is the better place to buy. Those links can also pay us a commission, and they follow the exact same rules as our Amazon links: no extra cost to you, no influence on our picks, and clearly disclosed on the page where they appear.

How you can spot an affiliate link

  • Every article that contains affiliate links carries a plain language disclosure above the first one. Not buried in the footer.
  • Affiliate links are tagged with rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page code, which is what Google asks publishers to do.
  • Buttons that send you to a retailer say where they are sending you.

Our own store is not affiliate

WorkoutHealthy is a commercial gym equipment dealer. When you buy a machine from our product pages, you are buying from us directly, and there is no affiliate link involved. Our product and collection pages carry no affiliate links at all. We keep the two completely separate so it is always obvious which one you are looking at.

What commissions do not buy

  • A brand cannot pay us for a higher ranking, a better score, or a mention. That is not for sale at any price.
  • We do not compare commission rates when deciding which product wins a roundup.
  • We do not accept free products, review samples, or loaned units from brands.
  • If we ever run sponsored content, it will be labeled as advertising and kept separate from our rankings.

How we actually choose and evaluate products is spelled out on How We Test Gym Equipment, and the rules we write under are on Editorial Standards.

Advertising

We run display advertising on parts of this site through a third party ad network. We do not control which specific ads you see, and advertisers have no say in our content. We keep display ads out of the body of our review articles.

Why any of this exists

Commissions and ads pay for the research, the photography, the freight math, and the hours it takes to write a guide that is actually useful. Without them, this site would be a catalog. With them, we can spend a week on an article that tells you not to buy something.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you think we have missed a disclosure somewhere on the site, email contact@workouthealthy.com. We want to know.
