PowerBlock Commercial Pro 125 Adjustable Dumbbells

The Commercial Pro 125 is a pair of adjustable dumbbells that runs from 12.5 lbs. to 125 lbs. per hand. It ships with the Pro Max Stand on commercial casters, and PowerBlock rates it for a commercial floor. If your members outgrow it, an expansion kit takes the same pair to 175 lbs. per hand.

One pair replaces 2,205 lbs. of iron. That is the number that should change how you judge the price. Sixteen pairs of fixed dumbbells running 12.5 lbs. to 125 lbs. add up to 2,205 lbs. and need about ten feet of rack. The Commercial Pro 125 does the same job on a floor footprint of 21.5 in. by 25 in.

Who is the Commercial Pro 125 for?

Facilities that need real weight without giving up the floor to a dumbbell rack. Hotel and corporate gyms, apartment fitness rooms, personal training studios, and country clubs. It also suits a serious home lifter whose top set is climbing past 100 lbs. per hand, though you are paying for a commercial build you may not need.

PowerBlock defines a commercial space as any environment used for business or shared use. That is the setting this warranty is written for.

How much weight does it adjust in?

It moves in 7.5 lb. and 10 lb. steps across 16 settings, from 12.5 lbs. up to 125 lbs. per hand. There are no micro weights in the handles on this model, so 7.5 lbs. is the smallest jump you can make.

That is a coarser step than the Pro 100 EXP, which moves in 2.5 lb. and 5 lb. increments. At the top of this range a 7.5 lb. jump is about six percent, so it matters less on heavy pressing than it would on lateral raises.

What is included?

Two dumbbells, a pair of 12.5 lb. handles, a pair of 20 lb. handles, two commercial grade magnetic selector pins, and the Pro Max Stand with commercial casters and protective mats on both shelves. The set arrives on a pallet in several boxes.

Can the Commercial Pro 125 be expanded to 175 lbs.?

Yes. The Commercial Pro 125-175 Expansion Kit adds 50 lbs. per hand and takes the pair to 175 lbs., which is 22 settings instead of 16. You can start at 125 lbs. now and add the weight when your members need it.

The kit fits the Commercial Pro 125 and nothing else. It does not fit the Pro 100 EXP, the Commercial Pro 32, or any Elite set. Add the expansion kit to your order and it ships alongside your dumbbells.

Commercial Pro 125 or Commercial Pro 175: which one should you buy?

Buy the Commercial Pro 125 if your heaviest members work under 125 lbs. per hand today. You save $420 up front, and the expansion kit is there when you need it.

Buy the Commercial Pro 175 if you already know people will use the top end. The math is exact: $2,049 for this set plus $420 for the kit is $2,469, which is what the Commercial Pro 175 costs on its own. Buying the 175 outright saves you a second delivery and an afternoon of installation.

What are the limits you should know before ordering?

The Commercial Pro 125 does not take the PowerBlock barbell or kettlebell handle attachments. Those fit the Pro and Elite weight stacks, not this one. If you want a barbell option in the same system, look at the Pro 100 EXP instead.

The dumbbells are ready to use out of the box, but the Pro Max Stand has to be assembled. Plan on two people and about half an hour.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Commercial Pro 125 come with a stand?
Yes. The Pro Max Stand is included, and it rolls on commercial casters. Both shelves have protective mats.

Can it expand past 125 lbs. per hand?
Yes. The Commercial Pro 125-175 Expansion Kit adds 50 lbs. per hand and takes the set to 175 lbs. and 22 settings. Neither the Commercial Pro 32 nor the Commercial Pro 175 expands, so this is the commercial set to buy if you want room to grow.

Are the handles knurled?
No. The Commercial Pro 125 uses a contoured TPR grip, 38 mm across and 4.88 in. long. The knurled stainless steel grip is on the Commercial Pro 175.

Does it have micro weights in the handles?
No. This model uses 12.5 lb. and 20 lb. handles instead, so the smallest jump is 7.5 lbs.

Do PowerBlock barbell or kettlebell attachments fit it?
No. PowerBlock builds no compatible barbell or kettlebell accessories for the Commercial Pro 125 and 175.

How much floor space does it need?
The stand takes about 21.5 in. by 25 in. Leave an arm's length of clear space on both sides so someone can press and curl without hitting a wall.

How does it ship?
On a pallet by freight truck, curbside, at about 295 lbs. The delivery point needs a hard level surface for the pallet jack.

What does the warranty cover?
PowerBlock covers this set with a 1 year commercial limited warranty. It does not cover normal wear, misuse, or dropping the dumbbells.

Common questions

Does it arrive assembled?

Most equipment arrives partly assembled and needs some setup. How much varies by product, and the Specs & Logistics section on this page lists the requirement for this model.

Will the truck bring it inside?

No. Freight delivery is curbside only. Liftgate service is included, so the item comes off the truck safely, but someone needs to be there to receive it, sign for it, and move it from the curb. Measure your doorways and the path to the room before you order.

Can I pay with a purchase order?

Yes. We work with clinics, schools and municipalities on purchase orders. Here is how it works.

What if it arrives damaged?

Note the damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, then contact us. Orders ship insured and carry the manufacturer's warranty, so a damaged or defective item gets repaired or replaced.

How do I know it fits my space?

Check the Specs & Logistics section for assembled dimensions and the clearance to allow around the unit. Measure the room, the doorways, and the route from the curb before you order.
