PowerBlock Commercial Pro 125-175 Expansion Kit
This kit takes a PowerBlock Commercial Pro 125 from 125 lbs. per hand to 175 lbs. per hand. It adds 50 lbs. of urethane coated plates to each dumbbell and six more settings to the stack, turning a 16 setting pair into a 22 setting pair.
It fits the Commercial Pro 125 and nothing else. Not the Pro 100 EXP, not the Commercial Pro 32, not any Elite set. Check the model on your dumbbells before you order.
What does the expansion kit actually add?
Fifty pounds per hand, and six new weight settings above 125 lbs. Your stack goes from ending at 125 lbs. to running 137.5, 145, 152.5, 160, 167.5 and 175 lbs. Everything below 125 lbs. stays exactly as it was.
The new plates use the same black urethane coating and the same color coded side rails as the rest of the set, so the weight is still easy to read at a glance.
Should you buy the kit or buy the Commercial Pro 175 outright?
Buy the kit if you already own the Commercial Pro 125 and your members have caught up to it. That is what it is for.
If you are starting from scratch, do the math first. A Commercial Pro 125 plus this kit lands within a few dollars of a Commercial Pro 175, and the 175 arrives in one delivery with nothing to install. The kit wins when you want to spread the cost across two budget years, or when you genuinely are not sure your floor needs 175 lbs. yet.
How hard is it to install?
It is not a tool free job, but it is not a rebuild either. The plates drop into the existing stack and the side rails are swapped to the color coded set that ships in the box. Set aside part of an afternoon and follow the instructions that come with it.
Nothing about the dumbbell handle or the selector pin changes. The magnetic pin you already use still sets the weight.

Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my PowerBlock dumbbells?
Only if they are Commercial Pro 125. The kit does not fit the Pro 100 EXP, the Commercial Pro 32, or any Elite, Sport or Pro 50 set. The model name is printed on the weight stack.
Does the kit include everything for both dumbbells?
Yes. One kit covers the pair. You do not need to buy two.
Do I need a bigger stand after installing it?
No. The Pro Max Stand that came with your Commercial Pro 125 holds the set at 175 lbs. The dumbbells get longer, so leave a little more clearance on the shelf.
Does it change the smallest weight I can lift?
No. The bottom of the range stays at 12.5 lbs. and the steps below 125 lbs. are unchanged. The kit only adds weight at the top.
How does it ship?
In one box by ground carrier at about 100 lbs. This is not a freight shipment, so there is no truck appointment and no liftgate to schedule.
What does the warranty cover?
PowerBlock covers the kit with a 1 year commercial limited warranty, the same coverage as the dumbbells it goes into. It does not cover normal wear, misuse, or dropping the dumbbells.
Can I go past 175 lbs. later?
No. 175 lbs. per hand is the ceiling for this stack. There is no second expansion kit.
