eTrainer Active Passive Motorized Exercise Bike for Disabled

The eTrainer is a motorized active and passive trainer that a patient uses while seated in their own wheelchair or a standard chair. There is no seat to transfer onto, which is the whole point of the machine.

Intended use: Light Commercial Grade

Why this product stands out

  • No transfer required: the open frame rolls up to most standard wheelchairs, so a patient with no independent transfer can still train.
  • Passive mode does the work: dual 50 watt motors drive the pedals and handles at 15 selectable speeds up to 75 RPM for patients who cannot yet move a limb under their own power.
  • Arms, legs, or both: limbs can be trained together or separately, and movement runs forward or backward.
  • 33 lbs with transport wheels: one staff member can move it between treatment rooms, unlike every other machine in this collection.

Who it is best for

Best suited to physical therapy clinics, rehab centers, skilled nursing, and home caregivers working with wheelchair users, stroke patients, and anyone in the early passive stage of recovery. If the patient can transfer onto a seat and needs cardiovascular load rather than assisted mobilization, the PhysioCycle XT or CyclePlus is the better buy.

Before you order

  • Measure your wheelchair. The unit fits most standard chairs, but the front support tube is 12" wide by 3.5" high and needs clear approach room.
  • Height adjusts from 32" to 40", so confirm the range covers your chair seat height and table setups.
  • Active resistance has only 2 levels. This is a mobilization tool, not a conditioning ergometer.
  • Standard power is AC 110V. A 220V version is available on request.

Common questions

Does it arrive assembled?

Most equipment arrives partly assembled and needs some setup. How much varies by product, and the Specs & Logistics section on this page lists the requirement for this model.

Will the truck bring it inside?

No. Freight delivery is curbside only. Liftgate service is included, so the item comes off the truck safely, but someone needs to be there to receive it, sign for it, and move it from the curb. Measure your doorways and the path to the room before you order.

Can I pay with a purchase order?

Yes. We work with clinics, schools and municipalities on purchase orders. Here is how it works.

What if it arrives damaged?

Note the damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, then contact us. Orders ship insured and carry the manufacturer's warranty, so a damaged or defective item gets repaired or replaced.

How do I know it fits my space?

Check the Specs & Logistics section for assembled dimensions and the clearance to allow around the unit. Measure the room, the doorways, and the route from the curb before you order.
