Body-Solid GLEG Adjustable Bench with Cabled Leg Developer

The GLEG is two things in one frame. It is a fully adjustable flat, incline and decline bench rated to 600 lb., and it is a cabled leg developer that hooks to any low pulley station for leg extensions and lying leg curls.

Fits: most low pulley stations, including the Body-Solid G9B, power racks with a lat attachment, functional trainers and cable crossovers.

Why a cabled leg developer instead of a weighted one?

A traditional bench leg developer loads plates on a lever, so resistance drops off at the top of the movement. The GLEG runs its leg developer through a cam and a cable, which holds resistance steady through the whole range. You also select weight with a pin on your existing stack instead of loading and unloading plates between sets.

What it adds

  • Seated leg extensions and lying leg curls off your existing weight stack
  • Full bench work. Flat, incline and decline pressing with dumbbells or a bar
  • 7 back pad angles: 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 85 degrees
  • 5 seat pad angles: 0, 5, 10, 15 and 30 degrees, so you do not slide down on an incline
  • Transport wheels for moving it between the rack and the pulley

How much room does it need?

76.5 in. long by 22.2 in. wide by 26.4 in. tall. Body-Solid's data sheet rounds this to 76 by 22 by 26 in. Leave clearance at both ends for the bar path and the cable run.

Frequently asked questions

What is the weight capacity?
600 lb., which is user plus load.

Do I need a weight stack for the leg developer?
Yes. The leg developer is cable driven and takes its resistance from a low pulley station, sold separately. The bench itself works on its own with free weights.

Will it reach my low pulley?
Chain length and pulley height vary by machine. Send us your model and we will confirm the fit before you order.

How much does it weigh?
110 lb. assembled per Body-Solid's product listing. Their data sheet lists 99 lb. We publish the heavier of the two.

How long does assembly take?
Plan an hour or two. You will need a standard wrench set, a metric wrench set and an adjustable wrench. Body-Solid's manual notes that some pieces have extra holes you will not use, so follow the steps in order.

Bottom line: Buy the GLEG when you want one bench that presses heavy and also gives you cable driven leg extensions and curls off a pulley you already own.

Common questions

Does it arrive assembled?

Most equipment arrives partly assembled and needs some setup. How much varies by product, and the Specs & Logistics section on this page lists the requirement for this model.

Will the truck bring it inside?

No. Freight delivery is curbside only. Liftgate service is included, so the item comes off the truck safely, but someone needs to be there to receive it, sign for it, and move it from the curb. Measure your doorways and the path to the room before you order.

Can I pay with a purchase order?

Yes. We work with clinics, schools and municipalities on purchase orders. Here is how it works.

What if it arrives damaged?

Note the damage on the delivery receipt before you sign, then contact us. Orders ship insured and carry the manufacturer's warranty, so a damaged or defective item gets repaired or replaced.

How do I know it fits my space?

Check the Specs & Logistics section for assembled dimensions and the clearance to allow around the unit. Measure the room, the doorways, and the route from the curb before you order.
