Troy 12-Sided Urethane Fixed Barbell Set with BB-10 Rack
This is Troy's full commercial fixed barbell package. Ten urethane encased barbells run from 20 to 110 lb. in 10 lb. steps, which is 650 lb. of weight, and all ten store on one BB-10 rack that takes up 29 by 32 inches of floor. That is roughly six and a half square feet for the entire progression.
You choose straight bars (Troy COMMPAC-TSBU110, built from TSB-U bars) or EZ curl bars (Troy COMMPAC-TZBU110, built from TZB-U bars). The barbells arrive pre-assembled.
Is urethane worth the extra money over rubber?
Yes, if the bars get daily use. Urethane does not chip, fade, or crack the way rubber does, and it has none of the rubber smell that fills a small weight room. Troy encases a solid steel head in high grade urethane, then attaches it to a hard chrome steel bar with deep knurling. On a busy free weight floor the heads take a beating every day, and urethane is the coating that still looks new after several years.
Rubber costs less up front. If your floor turns over gently, or the set lives in a studio rather than a 24 hour gym, the rubber version of this same package is the better value.
What does the 12-sided head actually do?
It stops the bar from rolling. Troy's patented head has twelve flat faces instead of a round profile, so a bar set down on the floor stays where you put it. A round head rolls, and a rolling 110 lb. barbell is how members get hurt and how baseboards get destroyed. Each head also carries a molded Troy logo and a white weight number, so a member can read the weight from across the room.
Straight bars or EZ curl bars: which set should you buy?
Buy the straight set if the bars will be used for presses, rows, lunges, good mornings, and floor work. Buy the EZ curl set if the bars will live in a bicep and tricep area, where the angled grip is easier on wrists and elbows. Neither set is a partial version of the other. Each one is ten complete bars covering the full 20 to 110 lb. range.

How much room does the BB-10 rack need?
The rack itself is 29 in. long, 32 in. wide, and 53 in. tall. It is dual sided, so bars load from both faces, and you need standing room on both sides to use it that way. Plan on about 3 ft. of clear floor in front of each face so a member can lift a bar off without turning sideways. Total working area lands near 29 in. by 8 ft.
The frame is 80 mm by 40 mm steel tube with a silver powder coat and chrome wear guards where the bars rest, which is the part that keeps the finish from being scraped off within a year.
What does the shipment look like?
The full package weighs 734 lb. and moves by LTL freight on a pallet. Delivery is curbside with a liftgate included. Get it onto a hard, level surface, because a pallet jack will not roll 734 lb. across gravel or grass. Once it is inside, the bars come off the pallet one at a time and drop straight onto the rack.
Common questions
Does the rack come with the set? Yes. The BB-10 dual sided horizontal rack is part of both packages. You are not buying it separately.
Is there any assembly? The barbells ship fully assembled and go straight onto the rack. Troy does not publish whether the BB-10 rack itself arrives built or knocked down, so we have asked our rep and will post the answer in the Specs and Logistics tab.
Can I put straight bars and curl bars on the same rack? Yes. The BB-10 holds up to ten bars of either type, so a mixed set works fine as long as the total stays at ten.
How is this different from the Troy rubber fixed barbell set? Same weights, same range, same rack. The heads are urethane instead of virgin rubber, so they resist chipping and fading and carry no rubber odor. The rubber package costs meaningfully less.
Can the rack be bolted down? The BB-10 is listed with optional floor bolt-down tabs, which are worth using in a high traffic room. Confirm availability and the bolt pattern with us before anyone drills a floor.
How long are the bars? Troy does not publish per bar lengths for the TSB-U and TZB-U lines. We have asked our Troy rep and will post them here when we have them.
What is the warranty? Troy's published schedule covers the encased bars and the commercial rack on different terms. The full text is in the Warranty section on this page.
Do you sell single bars? Individual TSB-U and TZB-U bars are available in single weights. Contact us with the weights you need and we will quote them.
Bottom line: If you want one complete 20 to 110 lb. fixed barbell progression that will still look presentable in five years, this is the urethane version of that set, rack included, in about six and a half square feet.
