Body-Solid Powerline P2X Universal Home Gym with Leg Press and 210 lb. Stack
The Powerline P2X is a six station home gym that does the job of a press machine, a cable station, and a leg machine inside one frame small enough for a spare room or a single garage bay. The build sold here ships with the full 210 lb. selectorized stack and the PLPX leg press station, which runs a 2:1 cable ratio and delivers up to 420 lb. of pressing resistance. If you want the standard machine instead, switch the Style selector to the 160 lb. version without the leg press.
Intended use: Residential
What sets the P2X apart from a basic stack gym
-
420 lb. of leg press resistance. The press station is geared 2:1, so the 210 lb. stack pushes back like 420 lb. A stack gym without that gearing stops at whatever the stack weighs.
-
True functional pulleys. The side pulleys swivel, so you can train rotation, chops, single arm presses, and pulls from angles a fixed anchor cannot reach. Most single stack gyms skip this entirely.
-
The 210 lb. stack is already included. Body-Solid builds the P2X with a 160 lb. stack and sells the extra 50 lb. as an upgrade. This configuration comes with it installed.
-
Aircraft cable rated to 2,200 lb. 4.8 mm steel core in a nylon jacket, riding on fiberglass reinforced nylon pulleys with sealed bearings at every pivot.
-
Ten year frame warranty. Body-Solid covers the frame and welds for ten years and parts for one year in residential use.
Six stations that share one weight stack
You change stations by moving a seat or swapping a handle, not by walking to another machine. That keeps circuits fast and keeps the footprint small.
-
Multi press arm. Flat press, incline press, and shoulder press. The seat raises and lowers so the pressing path matches your own shoulder height instead of locking you into one groove.
-
Lat pulldown and high pulley. Wide grip pulldowns, triceps pushdowns, face pulls, and standing crossovers. Padded thigh holds keep you anchored once the stack gets heavy.
-
Ab crunch and mid pulley. Cable crunches through a full range, plus any mid height pull or press you want to add.
-
Leg extension and leg curl. The roller pads ride on the SmoothGlide bearing system and the ankle cuffs self align, so the load sits on the pad instead of digging into your shin.
-
Seated row and low pulley. Rows, curls, upright rows, shrugs, and floor level cable work. The pulley swivels to open up angles.
-
Leg press. The plate pivots forward and downward at the same time, so your ankles never get locked into one hard position. Non slip rubber face, grab handles on both sides.
How much weight does the P2X leg press actually move?
Up to 420 lb. The leg press station uses a 2:1 pulley ratio, so every pound on the stack counts twice at the foot plate. Loaded to the full 210 lb. stack you are pressing the equivalent of 420 lb. On the standard 160 lb. build the same station gives you 320 lb. This is the number most shoppers miss when they compare a 210 lb. stack gym against a plate loaded leg press and assume the stack gym is the lighter machine.

Take the leg press if lower body strength is a priority and you can give up another 16 in. of width. Nothing else on the machine comes close to 420 lb. of loading.
Skip it if your room is tight or you plan to live on the side functional pulleys. The press sits on that side and makes those pulls feel a little closer in. You can still train legs on the extension and curl station.
Frequently asked questions
Does the P2X come with the 210 lb. stack, or is that an upgrade?
The Leg Press + 210 lb. Stack configuration includes the full 210 lb. stack. Body-Solid builds the P2X with 160 lb. standard, and the extra 50 lb. is already installed on this build. The No Leg Press configuration ships with the standard 160 lb. stack.
How much room do I need for the P2X?
With the leg press, 71 in. long by 66 in. wide by 83 in. tall. Without it, 71 in. by 50 in. by 83 in. Add about 2 ft. of clearance on each open side for training room, and make sure you have at least 7 ft. of ceiling.
Can I add more weight to the stack later?
Yes. Powerline gyms accept 50 lb. selectorized add on kits. Contact us with your serial and configuration and we will confirm the right kit.
How long does assembly take?
Most owners spend a full day on it, and the cable routing takes the longest. Two people move it along much faster. Professional assembly is available if you would rather not do it yourself.
Can I add the leg press after I buy?
Yes, the PLPX station bolts onto the P2X. Keep in mind it ships as a separate freight item, so buying it up front costs less than adding it later.
How many exercises can I do on it?
The six stations cover the major movement patterns: horizontal press, vertical press, vertical pull, horizontal pull, knee extension, knee flexion, and a hip and knee press. With the swivel functional pulleys added in, most owners build a full program without touching another piece of equipment.
Purchase benefits
- Free freight shipping within the continental United States
- Powerline by Body-Solid warranty: 10 years on the frame and welds, 1 year on parts, for household use by the original purchaser. The full terms are in the Warranty tab on this page.
Bottom line: The Powerline P2X is the right pick when you want six training stations, a 210 lb. stack, and a leg press worth 420 lb. in a single machine sized for a home gym room. Choose the No Leg Press build if space is tight and 160 lb. is enough.
