The GDCCBAR is a 42 in. steel bar that hooks onto both cables of a dual stack functional trainer. It turns two separate cable ends into one press bar, so a functional trainer can run bench press, incline press and shoulder press without free weights.

What is it for?

Pressing. A functional trainer with two loose handles is excellent for cable work and awkward for pressing, because each arm drifts on its own path. The GDCCBAR ties the two cables together so both arms move as one unit.

The upside over a barbell is that there is no spotter needed and no plates to load. Set the pin, clip the bar on, and press.

What does it fit?

Dual stack functional trainers. Body-Solid lists it as a recommended accessory for the S2FTX Pro ClubLine Series 2, and the spec sheet also names the GDCC200 and GDCC210 functional training centers. It clips to the cable ends, so there is no bolting and no assembly.

What can you do with it?

How heavy is the bar itself?
7 lb. assembled. That weight sits on top of whatever you select on the stack.

Does it work with one cable?
No. It needs both cable ends, so it only suits a dual stack machine.

How is it different from the MB100A?
The MB100A is a 3.5 lb. aluminum bar with swiveling ends, built to stay light. The GDCCBAR is a 7 lb. steel bar built for pressing. Pick the aluminum bar for high rep arm work and the steel bar for pressing.

Does it ship assembled?
Yes. It arrives ready to clip on.
