How the calculator works
The calculator converts yards to meters when needed, divides total seconds by distance, and scales the result to standard 100 and 50 unit splits.
How to use the result
Use the result as a consistent planning number. Record the inputs with the answer so a later comparison uses the same method.
Recalculate when the underlying inputs change. Avoid comparing results created with different units, measurement methods, or machine settings.
What the result does not include
Pool length, open turns, flip turns, push offs, current, and timing method can all affect the result. Compare sessions only when the setup is similar.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use yards and still get a meter pace?
Yes. The tool converts the entered yard distance to meters before calculating both standard splits.
Should rest time be included?
Include rest only if you want the average pace for the entire set. Exclude rest when you want moving pace.
